Technical and Vocational School Recruiting
Access the state's varied technical and vocational schools to find graduates with specialized skills.

Access technical and vocational school career centers to post your job openings. These higher learning institutions offer a variety of other services for employers and their graduating seniors, such as career fairs, employer recruiting assistance, alumni job matching services and intern hiring services. Most vocational and technical training schools also have career service centers and invite you to post job openings that might be of interest to their graduates.

  1. Certified Careers Institute

    CCI programs in Salt Lake City and Clearfield provide students with the knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to function in a medical office or clinic setting.   2. ITT Technical Institute

    The ITT Technical Institute has a facility located in Murray. Curriculum offerings, leading primarily to associate and bachelor degrees, are designed to help students begin to prepare for career opportunities in various technology fields, including information and electronics technologies, drafting and design, business and criminal justice.

  3. LDS Business College

    The LDS Business College is situated in Salt Lake City, and offers two-year programs in accounting, business, information and office technology, interior design and medical skills.   4. Mountain West College

    Mountain West College programs lead to associate degrees and diploma-level programs in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems , Paralegal/Legal Assistant, Medical Assisting , Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, Network Administration, Travel & Tourism, and Office Administration.   5. Stevens-Heneger College

    Stevens-Henager College has campuses located in Murray, Orem, Logan, Ogden, and Salt Lake City. The curriculum focuses on training students in business, computer technology, and medical specialties. Click on the link above, then click on "employers" and you can either view student resumes or fill out a form to post job openings.

  6. Utah Career College

    The Utah Career college campus in West Jordan offers career training in legal studies, business administration, medical and health technologies, and advertising & design. Employers may post job openings online, and recruiting trips are welcomed.

Utah College Of Applied Technology (UCAT)

The UCAT system is made up of ten regional technical colleges serving ten regions in Utah. UCAT is a relatively new concept in applied technology education, providing opportunities for high quality open-entry, competency-based education. Major focus at these technology colleges is on skill-oriented technical training programs that address the needs of Utah's employers, as well as upgrade training in response to local business and community demands. Business and industry partners with each UCAT campus to insure that the technology training provided meets their current and future needs for a highly-trained workforce. The ten colleges, with contact information for employer services are the following:

  1. Bridgerland Applied Technology College

    Campuses are located in Logan, Brigham City and Woodruff. Employers seeking graduates of Bridgerland ATC are directed to contact Department of Workforce Services.

  2. Central Applied Technology College

    The Central ATC is administered through the Snow College Richfield campus. The varied programs include business, automotive, agriculture, and construction. For information about hiring Central ATC graduates, employers are encouraged to call the main campus number and ask for the department responsible for those trade skills. The main CATC number is (435) 283-7313.

  3. Davis Applied Technology College

    The Davis ATC campus is located in Kaysville. The school offers a large variety of specialized training programs, ranging industrial trades to medical specialties. The College can provide low cost custom tailored employee training for your company if it meets certain guidelines. Services include determining training content, developing teaching materials, planning class schedules and location, as well as monitoring enrollment and attendance.   4. Dixie Applied Technology College

    The campus in St. George, Utah, specializes in training programs relating to cabinet making, cosmetology, welding, construction, diesel mechanics, health programs and computer aided drafting. For assistance in filling job openings, contact the Dixie ATC Counseling Office at (435) 652-7729.

  5. Mountainland Applied Technology College

    The Mountainland ATC, with campuses located in Orem, American Fork, Nebo, Heber City and Park City offers numerous training programs, including automotive, health, information technology, transportation and office skills.   6. Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College

    With its campus located in Ogden, the Ogden-Weber ATC offers a large number of courses, ranging from accounting to real estate. Use the link above to learn more about their programs and to post a job opening.

  7. Salt Lake/Tooele Applied Technology College

    The Salt Lake/Tooele ATC currently has locations in Salt Lake City, Tooele and West Valley City. The curriculum focuses on technologies related to transportation, health care, information and public safety.   8. Southeast Applied Technology College

    The Southeast ATC, with campuses in Price, Moab and Blanding, provides applied technology training in skilled and semi-skilled trades, and works with businesses to provide on-the-job training leading to higher employee proficiency and retention. The varied programs include business, automotive, agriculture, and construction.   9. Southwest Applied Technology College (SATC)

    Keeping up with technology and responding to the ever-changing demands of the workplace is a prime mission at Southwest Applied Technology College. The school's goal is to help people gain the technological knowledge and skills needed to gain or keep well-paying and meaningful employment.   10. Uintah Basin Applied Technology College (UBATC)

    UBATC offers a variety of technical training programs to keep pace with today's rapid advances in technology.
